Call for Public Comment: Investigation of SUD & SCA Recommendations

May 15 2020, Friday

The APHRS and HRS invite interested stakeholders to submit comments on draft recommendations of the 2020 APHRS/HRS Expert Consensus Statement on the Investigation of Decedents with Sudden Unexplained Death and Patients with Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and of Their Families. This open public comment stage provides greater transparency in the clinical practice document development process and the opportunity for key stakeholders to offer feedback before the document's finalization and publication.

The consensus statement is intended to provide evidence-based practical recommendations for evaluating decedents with sudden unexplained death and patients with sudden cardiac arrest. The document also includes a framework for the investigation of the family allowing steps to be taken, should an inherited condition be found, to minimize further events in affected relatives.

View the draft recommendations and provide comments by clicking HERE. The draft recommendations are available for public comment until June 8, 2020.
